Be Here Now

Hey there! Ready for a mini-adventure in your mind? Today we're going to practice something cool called "mindfulness". It's like giving your brain a mini-vacation!

Your Mission:

  1. Find a safe place to take a short walk. It could be in a park, around your block, or even in your backyard.
  2. As you walk, focus on your breathing. Feel the air going in and out.
  3. Walk slowly, like you're exploring a new planet.
  4. Notice things around you:
    • How does the air feel on your skin?
    • What sounds can you hear?
    • What can you see around you?
  5. If you start thinking about other stuff, no worries! Just gently bring your attention back to your breathing and walking.

Tip: Imagine your thoughts are like clouds floating by. You can see them, but you don't need to chase them. Just let them pass while you keep focusing on your walk and breathing.

After your walk, take a moment to write down or type:
1. Three things you noticed during your mindful walk
2. How you feel now compared to before the walk

Remember, there's no right or wrong way to do this. It's all about noticing what's happening right now, inside and outside of you!
