Tuning Into Your Inner Self

Hey there, inner explorer! Remember in "How Does Your Life Feel?" when we thought about how our life feels, and in "How Does Your Work Feel?" when we explored our feelings about work or school? Today, we're going to use a similar method, but this time we're focusing on understanding ourselves better.

Your Inner Tune-Up:

  1. Find a quiet, comfortable spot where you won't be disturbed.
  2. Take a few deep breaths to relax and clear your mind.
  3. Now, think about yourself as a whole - not just one part of your life, but all of you.
  4. Pay attention to how your body feels. You might notice feelings in your stomach, chest, or anywhere else.
  5. Try to find words that describe these feelings. They might be words like:
    • "Excited" or "Nervous"
    • "Open" or "Hidden"
    • "Strong" or "Unsure"
    • Or any other words that feel right to you
  6. Write down these words and any other thoughts that come to mind.

Tip: There's no right or wrong way to do this. Whatever you feel is okay and important!

This way of checking in with yourself is like having a superpower. It helps you understand your feelings better, even when you're not sure why you feel a certain way. The more you practice, the better you'll get at knowing what's going on inside you.

Remember, our feelings can change from day to day, and that's totally normal. The important thing is to take time to notice how we feel. It's like being a good friend to yourself!
