Walter loves video games and learning musical instruments. This week, he spent time each day on one of his favourite indoor activities: learning guitar, learning violin, learning piano, playing Roblox, and playing Geometry Dash. Walter did a different activity each day from Monday to Friday.

Using the following clues, determine which activity Walter did each day:

  1. Walter played Roblox either on Tuesday or Thursday.
  2. Walter learned piano the day before he played Geometry Dash.
  3. On Wednesday, Walter did not learn violin.
  4. Walter played Geometry Dash three days after he learned guitar.

Let’s work through the clues step by step.

From clues 2 and 4, we can chain three activities together. Clue 4 tells us Geometry Dash was three days after Guitar. Clue 2 tells us Piano was the day before Geometry Dash — so two days after Guitar. The only window in a Monday–Friday week where all three fit is Guitar on Monday, Piano on Wednesday, and Geometry Dash on Thursday.

Now we place the remaining two activities. Clue 1 says Roblox was on Tuesday or Thursday. Since Thursday is already taken by Geometry Dash, Roblox must be on Tuesday. That leaves Friday for Violin.
